Went to Jen's housewarming with Zitian and Tattoo... long time since the last time we all met up... her house is at tpy central... it so convenient... tpy central is juz opp her house... she is so lucky to be able to get it...

Herby came to pick us up after that and we went for dinner at amici italian restaurant at holland village... he got a card where u order 4 main courses and get 2 free and also a free wine...

we ordered escargot for appetizer...

herby ordered pizza 4 stagioni...

vanessa ordered spaghetti carbonara...

i ordered spaghetti crabmeat aglio olio

and maw ordered beef lasagne...

and lastly, tiramisu for dessert!

food is not too bad but it's abit expensive... 6 dishes and although 2 are free... total bill $98.40... BUT business is still very gd... we were asked to leave as there are ppl waiting for seats... maw and herby love the red wine...

after amici, we went to Brewerkz at old holland road... called weelock along... they dun serve as many types of beer compared to clarke quay... but environment was better... not as many ppl so it's a better place to chill out...

Batman

This is one of THE best movies I have watched in a while. The storyline is so good and with all the famous villians appearing, it brings back the nostalgia of the Batman shows or cartoons you used to watch but in a more serious tone. Heath Ledger played the character of the Joker so well, he seriously deserves an Oscar. The Joker says things that makes so much sense but the typical human being would fail to comprehend just because it's not the social norm. Pay attention to the dialogue he says and you will know what I mean. Christian Bale is one of the more convincing Batman I've seen so far. After the movie I headed down to the DVD store to buy Batman Begins just to catch up on the story, hehe. If you want to make a comparison, the 2nd part is much better and not so straight forward. You will not feel bored at all in the 2 and half hours because you would be craving for more on what's to come, I know I did. A must watch! 5 popcorns!

Red Cliff, not Wall?

I'm guessing San Guo Zhi fans out there will not like this movie as it leaves some of the parts out of the actual story and kinda diverts from the actual story too (Thank you colleagues who told me the actual story), I didn't read the story so I'm ok with the it, Hehe. Only good thing was that 1 fight scene (Yes, not the love making scene which lasted 3 seconds and got severely censored). Lin Zhi Ling still is a flower pot and Takeshi Kaneshiro did a better job this time round. This movie further annoys you when the actual battle is about to start and you see the dreaded "To be continued....". After watching it and knowing I have to fork out more money to catch the second half, I give this movie 2 popcorns for it being overhyped.

Hella good movie!

Sequels. You either hate them or you love them. I definitely loved this one and it was even better than the first one with the crappy 30 second ending. The introduction of new species into the movie like trolls, elves and tooth fairies? made this movie really entertaining. I kinda liked the way they showed a new character and after a while you realised OHHHH it's that guy.(You will know what I mean when you watch it) If you are a fantasy freak and love action movies, this is it for you! Dun miss it just cause it's a sequel, watch it and I'm sure you will wanna watch the first one. :) (Hey, if you can watch Star Wars Episodes IV, V, VI then I, II, III, this is a piece of cake for you, Hehe). 3 popcorns!

Good job!

Everyone loves a superhero, but a superhero that is a vigilante and does stuff by his own rules? Now that is interesting! And that is what Hancock is all about, hehe. This movie has all the action and laughs and moves into a more serious tone at the end. Overall storyline was not too bad, but some explanations were just too fuzzy to really know what happened, but with Will Smith as the lead actor and Charlize Theron as the supporting actress, I guessed they kinda saved the movie. Still enjoyed it though. Good Job! 3 popcorns!
