the tv has been delivered before cny but i havent took pic until now... it's a gift from my parents... best denki was having promotion when we bought the tv... it comes with a free home theatre and $300 robinsons voucher...

First Lo Hei...

our big boss, tony treated our dept to lunch today at yan palace restaurant... long walk from our office... by the time we reached there, everyone was super hungry...

the restaurant was fairly crowded... and first dish is the lo hei...

Red Cliff 2

I still hate the title but the show has drastically improved. Good battle scenes, lots of action to keep you awake even after midnight. Watch only if you have watched part 1.

Busy weekend continues...

ytd we finally collected our arm chair bean bags... we bought it last yr during the christmas promotion where 2nd item is at 33% discount... felt was a good buy and we wanted to put bean bags in our cosy area so we got wat we want!

lucky herby came and help us with it else we were have a hard time bringing it back... they are huge... was afraid they wun fit into the car as there are still the 3 of us.... we almost tear apart the back of the car to fit them in.... and i had to squeeze in the back seat as there was not much space left...

Busy weekend...

it had been a super busy weekend for us... went down to the house early in the morning at 10am on a saturday morning to wait for the delivery of the bed and the curtain uncle to drill and install the curtain tracks... followed by delivery of our furniture from barang barang...

the bed came the earliest... they fixed the bed frame and one of the guy explained to us how long and how to rotate the bed so as to maintain the shape...





the model of our mattress is missouri... during the promotion, there is a free mattress protector, a settee look alike to put in front of the bed, 2 pillows and 2 sheeps... we bought the bed frame and 2 latex pillows... we chose sheep number 4 and 8 but 4 has no stock... the guy said normally singaporean dun like the number 4 therefore they dun take much in :( so now we have to wait till the stock comes and we go down to centrepoint serta to collect...

next to come was the curtain uncle... he drill and install the curtain tracks first... but the curtains will only be ready after chinese new year...

after the curtain uncle was done, we tot we could go out and have lunch as the barang barang delivery was from 3-6pm... but they called up ard 1+ saying that they are nearby and if they can come down now... thanks herby for helping us buy lunch!

next the laminates people come to fixed our wardrobe... there was a little scratch and the guys came and color it... i was a bit shocked as i tot they will change the whole laminate... but since it not a very big scratch and after they color it, it wasnt that obvious...

as our house is not on the lift level so all the poor delivery guys have to carry all the heavy furniture down the stairs... 辛苦他们了！




the sofa, coffee table and tv console are settled... as for the dinning table, maw prefer to place it against the mirror and i prefer to place it in the middle of the dinning room... wonder which will looks nicer... hmmm... 1st picture is against the mirror whereas 2nd is in the middle of the dinning room...


after all the things came, we went to ikea to do some shopping... bought the mickey mouse hands to stick on the corner of the cooker hood as the cooker hood is quite low and the corners are very sharp and i'm the only one that always seem to knock into it =( it's to protect my head...

bought some glasses for normal drinks and beer.... the beer glasses belongs to maw -.-;

BS 1st appointment & marriage prep course booked...

called jessica up today and arrange for 1st appt on 7th Feb... she said 1st appt is juz to discuss on the design of my EG... she asked to bring down any design from magazines if i see any i like... but brides magazines are more on WG rather than EG... maw said i look nice in design with high collar... will let jessica know and see wat she says...

also booked marriage preparation course which starts on 15th Feb... a total of 6 sessions... getting bz le... but im still feeling very lazy... :x

Switches and Kitchen...

all the switches for our house has been changed to the designer type... i love the big switch... it's so cool and easy to switch on...

the black glass in between the kitchen cabinet is also up... i love the part where the switch is on the glass itself... so shiny until you can see the toilet bowl lol

our super big black tinted mirror is finally up!

the mirror for the wardrobe is also up... same color as the super big one...

only the pink room and store room doors had been painted... hope they will get it all done by tomorrow...

only left paintings and one of the tiles in the kitchen toilet to be changed... once done, it shld be rdy for handover!

Porta Porta...

jessie intro me to an italian restaurant at stanley road called Porta Porta...

very nice and quiet environment if you like to have a quiet and relaxing dinner... food was awesome but abit on the pricy side...

we started off with warm frocccia bread with vingear dipping... followed by the starter... we ordered bruschetta...


as for main course, herby order tortellini with beef sauce... he called it 'italian xiao long bao' whereas i called it 'italian wanton' hehe...

maw ordered salmon pasta with tomato sauce... one of the dishes jessie recommended...

lastly, i order vongole, my favorite pasta! it was delicious! some of the vongole i ate outside, the sauce is tasteless but this one is thumb up!

for dessert, we ordered the tiramisu which was also recommended by jessie...

this restaurant does not have service charge so you might wanna tip if the service is good... we did tipped as we find it good... a restaurant to try it out if you feel like eating good italian food...

Internet Protocol Man

Ok, I admit, didn't expect this movie to be so good and no, he's not a super hero who can change your Internet Protocol at will. Pronounced Yip Mun, this was the story of the life of the legendary Bruce Lee's master who used his fists to unite China during the Japanese Occupation. His martial arts style called Wing Chun is really cool watch. With some humour and lots of kung fu action, this movie had my eyes glued onto the screen the whole time wanting for more, especially when you know he is going to pull out some cool moves in the next few seconds. A must watch!

Bedtime Stories

Nice family comedy with one of my favorite actors Adam Sandler. Bet after watching this movie, many people will go out and start grabbing their very own guinea pig! Nice to watch, but not a must.
